About the event
New Lanark has a unique heritage as 18th century Mill Village beside the picturesque River Clyde. Founded in 1785 with a focus on philanthropy, education and the welfare of the mill workers, New Lanark became a model for industrial communities that spread across the world in the 19th and 20th centuries. There are also beautiful walks and the Falls of Clyde waterfalls to see. Entry to the centre is £15 (pay on arrival).
Meet under the big clock inside Glasgow Central Train Station at 9:50am.
Please be on time so we can buy tickets (£10 for a return ticket) and catch the train.
You can bring lunch with you, or there is a restaurant in the centre.
There will be some walking, so please wear comfortable shoes.
