On Friday 30th July our very own Lizzie Green - Director of Studies took part in a radio show talking about Live Language and about learning a language in general. The show discussed learning a language and how much one could expect to learn on an Intensive course over a short period of time. The show's researcher Richard, received a very short intensive Japanese course from our Japanese teacher Kiyomi. Shine! International Student Award 2010

A celebration of living and learning in the UK

If you are having a fantastic time in the UK - The British Council and Education UK joined their effort to offer prizes to international students in UK.

  • Who can enter?

           - If you are an international student on a full-time course in the UK that lasts six months or more, then you're probably eligible to enter.

           - From school pupils to postgraduates, international students at all levels can enter the competition.

  • Tell them about it:

    - Have you developed new interests since coming to the UK, or experienced things you never thought you would?

    - Have you overcome personal challenges or achieved long-held ambitions or goals?

    - Do not play an active part in institution life, or get involved in your local community in a bid to make the most of your time in UK?

    - Have you experiences here changed your outlook and the way you think, or contributed to changes in the way you live your life?

If you answer 'Yes' to any of these questions, then sharing your experiences could put you in line for an award that could help you on your way to a brighter future.

You will have to get your skates on – the closing date is 18 January 2010!
