What is the Social Programme?

The Social Programme is another student service which enriches their experience of Scotland and Glasgow. Students help to plan the optional events and excursions to  suit their interests, and can improve their English skills while experiencing Scottish culture.

Activities and Excursions budget

The costs of excursions are not included in the English fees, and some typical costs for the Social Programme activities are indicated below:

• Arran trip: £30
• Loch Ness trip: £40
• Edinburgh trip: £15
• Ceilidh night: £6
• Bowling night: £8
• Movie night: £1.50

• We also organise one events per week in the summer, such as:

  • Movie nights
  • Wii Party
  • Trips to the pub
  • Lunches
  • Historical and Cultural trips
  • Museums
  • Competitions (poetry, photos, pool, etc.)

Other Activities

Tennis

We organise FREE tennis sessions on Mondays from 6.00 to 7.00 in Kelvingrove Park.  Please speak to Graham at the reception if you would like to come along.
