Police Registration

If your passport is stamped Holder is required to register with the police, you must register with the police at a specified police station within seven days of arrival in the UK.

Your first visit to the Police Station is to arrange your Registration Appointment only; it will not be possible to process any Registrations at this time.  When you go back to the Police Station for your appointment your Registration will be processed then.  Therefore you will need two visits to the Police Station in order to register.

You will need:

  • A ‘Letter of Acceptance’ from Live Language, signed by a member of staff
  • £34
  • Your passport
  • A passport sized photo
  • Proof of Residence – this could be a lease, a utility bill, a letter from Live Language if you are staying with a Live Language Host Provider, a letter from your landlord.  Live Language cannot provide proof of residence unless you are living with a Live Language Host Provider.

You must inform the police within 7 days if your address changes.
