Live Language has partnered with Motherwell College and EduSport USA to provide the perfect Summer Young Learner Programmes. These immersion courses allow young students to learn Creative Skills in addition to learning English through a choice of four afternoon activity programmes. Taught by qualified and experienced trainers, the Live Language Young Learner Programme includes outstanding student care, academic excellence and a fun and varied cultural and social experience. Young Learners will have the opportunity to make new friends from around the world, and have lots of fun!
Students will study fun, interesting and relevant topics in their classes including movies and popular music. Our courses are designed to make sure students practice all 4 English skills and build their confidence using fun, communicative activities no matter what their English level is. They will be able to use the English they learn to make new friends both inside and outside the classroom. Their teacher will help them to design their course so it is relevant and useful to them and their classmates.
Students can choose to study English + another subject.
The choices are
Chris Ewing, Director of EduSport USA is an Ex professional footballer, having cut his teeth at Motherwell Football Club. He is a Qualified coach through the Scottish Football Association, is a Member of NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) and has coaching experience in Europe and the USA. Chris is a Director of Paris Saint Germain International Soccer Academy and is Head coach of American School of Paris. He also speaks fluent French so he has first hand experience of what it is like to learn a foreign language and will therefore be very sympathetic to students' needs.
Classes will take place in a modern college outside of Glasgow (Motherwell College) which is less than one year old. The college has a full size theatre, IT studios, a well-equipped beauty and hairdressing room, and is near Ravenscraig Stadium which has a full-size indoor football pitch and training facilities. English lessons will take place in state-of-the-art classrooms or in one of the many social areas around the college. There is a library, study centre, cafes and activity areas inside the college – everything you need under one roof.
Students will live on campus and have their own bedroom with private bathroom, TV and internet. There is a shared living room on each floor with a full-size TV, snack and laundry facilities. Our staff will be available 24 hours a day to take care of students and offer any assistance they may need.
If students would prefer to live with a local family and travel to school every day we can arrange a Homestay for them.
Staff from our college restaurant will prepare food each day which includes a selection of healthy breakfasts, lunches and evening meals. There will be a choice available at each meal time and if students have a special dietary requirement we can cater for that. On the days we have our excursions our staff will prepare a packed lunch for the young learners.
Every evening our Activity Leaders will plan a choice of activities which will be fun, active and communicative allowing the young learners to practice their English and new skills in a safe, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. During their stay students will visit Edinburgh, Loch Lomond National Park and Glasgow so they can experience and learn about Scottish culture, Scottish history and Scottish people. These are fun packed, full day activities with Activity Leaders and friends.
