Courses

Students will study fun, interesting and relevant topics in their classes including movies and popular music. Our courses are designed to make sure students practice all 4 English skills and build their confidence using fun, communicative activities no matter what their English level is.  They will be able to use the English they learn to make new friends both inside and outside the classroom.  Their teacher will help them to design their course so it is relevant and useful to them and their classmates.

Students can choose to study English + another subject.

The choices are

  • English + Performing Arts – if your young learners like music, drama, dance and writing they will enjoy this course.  Students will write and produce their own production and perform it for their fellow students at the end of their course.  They will be learning and performing on a stage in a full size theatre on campus.
  • English + Film and Animation – learn how to make short films and animations in our technical studios.  This media course will allow students to be creative and have fun using specialist IT equipment.  At the end of the course the young learners can present their short DVD to their friends and take a copy home with them!
  • English + Beauty – this course covers the skin, make up techniques, fashion styling and some beauty therapy techniques.   Students can practice on their new friends and will assist the Performing Arts team with their final theatre production.
  • English + Football – Play soccer like the pros. Students will have the opportunity to perfect their individual technique such as defending, passing, controlling, 1vs1 and shooting while learning new and exciting drills that will improve all aspects of their game and help take them to the next level.  Live Language partners with EduSportUSA who coach footballers in Europe and the USA.

Accommodation

Students will live on campus and have their own bedroom with private bathroom, TV and internet.  There is a shared living room on each floor with a full-size TV, snack and laundry facilities.  Our staff will be available 24 hours a day to take care of students and offer any assistance they may need.

If students would prefer to live with a local family and travel to school every day we can arrange a Homestay for them.

Meals

Staff from our college restaurant will prepare food each day which includes a selection of healthy breakfasts, lunches and evening meals.  There will be a choice available at each meal time and if students have a special dietary requirement we can cater for that.  On the days we have our excursions our staff will prepare a packed lunch for the young learners.

Activities and excursions

Every evening our Activity Leaders will plan a choice of activities which will be fun, active and communicative allowing the young learners to practice their English and new skills in a safe, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.  During their stay students will visit Edinburgh, Loch Lomond National Park and Glasgow so they can experience and learn about Scottish culture, Scottish history and Scottish people.  These are fun packed, full day activities with Activity Leaders and friends.
